Hungarian birth / marriage certificate
Upon request, the Hungarian consular department in Bern can issue a certificate of civil status events that have already been certified in Hungary.
Types of documents:
- birth certificate
- marriage certificate
- partnership certificate
- death certificate
The documents are in three languages (Hungarian, French, English).

Marital status certificate
The Hungarian consular department in Bern can issue the marital status certificate in the form of a consular confirmation if the data of the Hungarian person concerned are in the Hungarian civil status and address register. Please contact the consular department by email (consulate.brn@mfa.gov.hu) so that we can check your details in the register.
Certificate of no criminal record:
Please contact the consular department by email (consulate.brn@mfa.gov.hu).
Authentication of documents:
The documents issued by the consular department can be certified by the Federal Chancellery. It is the client's task to apply for certification from the Federal Chancellery.
